Getting Started
How do I get started?
Every family starts with a free 20-minute Parent-Tutor Call, so we can talk about your child, where they are, and what you'd love to see change. From there, your child has a £20 Initial Assessment (40 minutes), which helps me understand how they think, what they know, and how they feel about learning.
What ages do you work with?
Knowmadic Tutoring works with children aged 5 to 11.
What subjects do you cover?
Maths, English, and Phonics, alongside a wellbeing strand called Knowmadic Flow. Maths group programmes are running now; English and Phonics groups are coming soon, and you're welcome to join the waitlist for either.
Group Programmes
How do group programmes work?
Small groups of up to 4 children, run in recurring 6-week blocks, for ages 5 to 11.
-
Maths: £150 per 6-week block (50-minute sessions), running now
-
English: £150 per 6-week block (50-minute sessions), coming soon
-
Phonics: £90 per 6-week block (30-minute sessions), coming soon
How are children placed into a group?
Every child starts with the free Parent-Tutor Call and the £20 Initial Assessment. This helps me understand your child and shape how I teach and support them once they're in their group, so each child still gets a personalised experience within a small group setting.
What if I know other families who'd want to join?
Wonderful, get in touch and we can look at forming a group together. Otherwise, your child can join the waitlist until a suitable group is formed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Cancellations and Rescheduling
What if my child can't make a session?
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice. Sessions cancelled or rescheduled with 24 hours' notice or more won't be charged, and we'll do our best to find an alternative time, subject to availability. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, will be charged in full.
Can I get a refund?
Sessions already delivered are non-refundable. If you need to stop partway through a package or group block, remaining unused sessions are reviewed on a case by case basis. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions.
Sessions
What platform do you use?
Sessions are delivered live on Lessonspace, which combines video with an interactive whiteboard. A joining link is shared once, ahead of your first session, and the same link is used to join every week.
What do we need for sessions to run smoothly?
A stable WIFI connection, and ideally a laptop, PC, or tablet in a quiet space free from distractions. A drawing tablet isn't required, but it can help make sessions even more interactive on the whiteboard, and these are easy to buy online if you'd like one.
Do you provide updates on my child's progress?
Yes. Regular updates are shared with parents on how sessions are going, and periodically this includes written feedback on your child's progress.
Can I ask for extra support outside of sessions?
Yes, additional support like extra marking or extended written feedback can be arranged separately if needed, though it isn't included as standard.
