Every class is personally planned and taught by Heena, a qualified primary teacher with a maths specialism.

50 minutes, same time weekly
Long enough to build a concept but short enough to hold a young learner’s focus, and at the same time each week so it becomes a routine they rely on.

Every child is active in the lesson and gets feedback in every session, with the work individualised to each child’s interests and the level they are working at.

Follows the National Curriculum
Classes are aligned to the National Curriculum for its year group, following a sequence that allows students to build concepts one after the other.

Live on Lessonspace
A purpose-built online classroom with interactive whiteboards, visual models and manipulatives on screen. Setup takes two minutes and onboarding is included.

Confidence built through consistency
Classes are sequenced week by week and adjusted around the gaps as they appear, with regular practice and parent feedback building secure foundations.
✧ — WHY ONE TERM MINIMUM
Progress takes time to show up.
One class shows your child the format, not the progress. It takes about a month of weekly sessions before a method starts to stick without prompting, and a few months before the change is unmistakable. A full term gives me the weeks to build on each session, revisit what wobbled, and work towards securing the foundations.

Two steps once you join a group.
After you have booked, these two steps happen before your child's first class, so I can shape how I teach and support them within their group.
STEP 01
Tell Me About Your Child
A short form covering where they are right now, what they're finding tricky, what you'd love to see change, and anything else that helps me understand your child before their first class.

Your child completes a short assessment at home, so I can get a picture of what they know and how they think and feel about learning, before their very first class.

Why join our classes?
4 children per class
Groups are capped at four so that learning is individualised. Every child works through problems out loud and gets feedback in every session.
Foundations first
Maths becomes overwhelming when foundations are not secure. We secure number sense before moving on, so new topics build on solid foundations.
Wellbeing built in
A free monthly Flow Session helps children manage emotions, approach challenge with confidence and feel good in themselves through creative activities.
Hi, I'm Heena!
I'm a qualified primary teacher with over 8 years of experience helping students close gaps, build confidence and enjoy their subject. I've taught in primary schools in the UK and internationally.
Maths can be overwhelming for many students if they don't have their foundations intact. Without secure foundations, further maths knowledge is difficult to embed. I've seen students unable to follow methods simply because they don't have solid number sense.
I help students overcome these challenges by following the Roots to Reach method. The process starts with ensuring students are in a settled and safe state to learn, before any challenge is introduced. Then we build connections through concrete, visual and abstract learning, which creates real understanding, and we connect things to real life or their own interests to make learning meaningful.
I offer small group classes, maximum 4 children, run weekly on Lessonspace and personally planned and led by me. Classes are based on children's interests and linked to the real world, so they can apply their maths knowledge with interest and understanding.
I've taught 500+ students over the years, and I'm proud to receive continuous, amazing feedback from both parents and students.
Alongside academic support, I also run monthly wellbeing sessions, because as a holistic, integrated creative arts facilitator, I value my students' wellbeing in itself, not just their learning.
